I wrote this song as a teenager during the Cold War.
My fears back then, of a nuclear war, never came true – thank god.
But now? It feels worse.
With a dictator like Putin threatening nukes since the illegal invasion of Ukraine –
and his mad friend in North Korea who clearly isn’t all there –
it’s like déjà vu on steroids.
